Located in the town of Harrison and directly adjacent to thousands of acres of undeveloped forest, Big Woods is less than 3 hours from Boston. Big Woods is located in a very private, quiet, heavily wooded area but it is within easy reach of many recreational opportunities. One drive down Big Woods Road and you'll know you've found the perfect hideaway.

Crooked River runs from Songo Pond in Bethel to the Songo River in Naples and into Sebago Lake and is well known to canoeists and fishermen. The beautiful 17 acre Big Woods common area borders 1700 feet of the river, which includes a small beach. You could actually canoe your way from Big Woods directly into Sebago Lake.

Harrison (The Friendly Village) is conveniently located about half way between the Atlantic Ocean and the White Mountains. Also, the Naples Causeway, with its many attractions is only a ten minute drive from Big Woods.

Sebago Lake, Long Lake, Brandy Pond, Trickey Pond, Peabody Pond, Highland Lake, Parker Pond, Pleasant Lake, Thompson Lake, Tripp Lake, Moose Pond, Hancock Pond, Bear Pond, Keoka Pond, Panther Pond, Little Sebago Lake, Beaver Pond, Otter Pond, Stearns Pond, McWain Pond, Foster Pond, Island Pond, Crystal Lake, Crescent Lake, Woods Pond, Coffee Pond, and Dumpling Pond.

These lakes and ponds are within a 30 minute drive, many have public access.

Wildlife in the area include deer, bear, moose, mountain lion, lynx, coyote, fox, partridge, ducks, geese, woodcock, and turkey.
